About Me

I work as a private practice therapist in an office on University Avenue near Highway 280 right between Minneapolis and St. Paul. I see both individuals and couples. I also host pre-marriage counseling sessions for couples.
I grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles, completed my BA at Augustana Lutheran College in Sioux Falls, SD and went to the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL for graduate school. After completing my master's degree in social work I came to Minneapolis and worked for Lutheran Social Services for ten years. During this time I began providing counseling to missionaries in the Lutheran Church prior to them traveling overseas and upon their return as they reintegrated into American culture. Through this work I decided to attend seminary for a theological education. I received my Masters of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in 1999. From 1999 to 2005, I served as a half-time associate pastor at St. Luke's in Bloomington and continued my counseling practice half-time.
In March 2005 I returned to counseling full-time and I opened my present office in St. Paul.
In my free time I like taking motorcycle rides with my husband Grant and working on our 100 year old home. We have five boys and we enjoy time together with our family. We also share a passion for scuba diving that fills our day dreaming hours.
